How to Develop the Right Corporate Learning Solution for your Company?

Modern training platforms have made the task of building and managing a training program a much more easier task. However, designing the right set of tools and implementing this corporate learning solutions structure in the correct manner is still the task of the manager. Here are a few tips to make this process easier, especially for a first time user of any corporate elearning development project.

  1. Use of blended learning: Some skills are better learnt face to face. Some obvious areas that need this personal touch will involve sales techniques and hardware equipment operations. Other courses also benefit with a blended teaching methodology as the human brain functions slightly in a more formal manner when we sit in a classroom environment. Learning on your own requires a lot of self control and a lot of incentivisation in terms of later monetary benefits or in terms of recognition to help.
  1. Learner analytics: Always measure as many aspects of your training module. You cannot improve upon something that you have not measured. Any of the modern LMS’s available will provide you options to effectively monitor your training, identify the skill gaps, spot problem areas in the content or functionality, improvement areas and places where the learner needs more information. Some smaller companies may opt out of it as they have a direct connect with the learner but for any large company with many departments, analytics is your friend that you need to allow help you.
  1. Create learning paths: Do not treat your training as an individual entity but try to visualise it as the next step in the learner’s educational journey. This basic philosophy will help you create a learning path for your particular course and help you make content as per the needs of the employee to help with their future goals.
  1. Flexibility: Not every adult learner will need to be trained from the very beginning. A course that caters to the needs of both the veteran as well as a fresher is a better fit in an organisation. Be available online or in person for any further explanations that the learner may require in their knowledge journey. Combining a course with slightly higher role knowledge also promotes transparency in an organisation bringing the employees together.
